Former Coronation Street star Shobna Gulati has lent her support to Dementia Carers Count (DCC), backing the charity's first ever virtual event, Every Small Step, celebrating 'the lives and contributions of the dementia carer community'.

People are invited to set themselves a step-count goal, to reach a cumulative total of 700,000 steps, and walk whilst listening to the dementia charity's new podcast episodes until October 22, and Gulati said 'I helped care for my mother who had dementia. So, personally I know how important it is that people in a caring role get the knowledge and support they need...
